A collection of five art pieces has been unveiled as part of an exhibition at the Institute of Jamaica (IOJ) in Kingston, to reimagine National Heroine and outstanding military leader, Nanny of the Maroons. With a desire to make Jamaica’s only National Heroine a well-rounded person rather than just a character from the history books, Exhibition Curator, Dr. Leo Douglas set out to ‘Reimagine Nanny’ by highlighting the untold stories the Maroon leader.
