Director of Children and Family Programmes at the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), Warren Thompson (right), displays the cover of a story book to grade-two students at the Bamboo Primary and Junior High School in St. Ann during Read Across Jamaica Day on Tuesday (May 3). As part of activities to commemorate Local Government and Community Month 2023, the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) hosted students from over 30 technical, junior, and traditional high schools across the corporate area, at its junior council forum. The forum was held on November 24 at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Downtown Kingston under the theme, ‘Local Government: Creating a Legacy of Improved Social Services’.

Jamaica’s Promise – Waterford Primary PEP Top Achiever
Waterford Primary, located in the center of the Waterford community in Portmore St. Catherine, achieved outstanding results on this year's Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examinations, with 60 of its 73 students, approximately 82%, achieving high proficiency in the exams.
