JTB to Continue Passport Acquisition Campaign in Boston

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is to continue its passport acquisition campaign in the United States (US), by visiting Boston in the North East.
To encourage Bostonians to get their passports, the JTB will host another in its on-going series of ‘Jamaica Morning Coffee Break’, at the South Station Train Terminal, Boston, on Tuesday, January 23, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Boston commuters will be presented with the unique opportunity to apply for or renew their passports on site at the train station. They will also be able to pick up the necessary forms on site as well.
The programme is being offered in conjunction with the US Postal Service, which will process the applications on site, including taking the required photographs.
Boston commuters wishing to have their passport applications processed on site must have the required documents – proof of US citizenship and valid form of photo identification.
As an incentive to encourage Bostonians to apply for their passports, TNT Vacations will give away one all inclusive trip for two to Jamaica. The offer will coincide with the agency’s new charter service from Boston’s Logan International Airport to the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.
Under a sweeping new immigration policy, called the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, all travellers, including Americans, will need passports to re-enter the US by plane when travelling from most Caribbean countries, Canada and Mexico, beginning January 23, 2007.
