The Full Story

Citizens are being advised that emergency services may still be contacted during and after the passage of Hurricane Beryl, even if cell phone signals have been disrupted.

Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB) Commissioner, Stewart Beckford, told JIS News that persons may dial 110, 112 or 119 to contact the ambulance services, JFB and Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), respectively.

He said the JFB’s telephone lines are still up and running, and the entity can be contacted directly.

“I would encourage persons to have the number for your fire station on speed dial. So, in case you still have service and you need us to come out to render assistance, then you would call the nearest fire station,” the JFB Chief stated.

Commissioner Beckford encourages persons who do not know the number for the nearest fire station to use the emergency numbers.
