The Education Transformation Oversight Committee (ETOC) on June 26, hosted a press conference to provide an update on the implementation of recommendations contained in the 2021 Report of the Professor Orlando Patterson-chaired Jamaica Education Transformation Commission (JETC) for the April to June 2024 period. The committee’s chairman, Dr. Adrian Stokes, provided a summary of the progress and indicated that all 129 of the initiatives to address gaps and issues identified in the education system are on schedule. This is an overall 15 per cent progress on the transformation plan, a two percent increase over the prior reporting period.
