Tourism Minister to Address Town Hall Meeting in the Bronx

Minister of Industry and Tourism, Aloun Ndombet-Assamba, will promote Jamaica’s unique tourism product, when she addresses potential visitors and Caribbean tourism interests at a town hall meeting in New York on May 11.
The meeting, which will be held at the Richard R. Green Middle School Auditorium in the Bronx beginning at 6:30 p.m., is being organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and is part of activities to mark Caribbean Week Tourism 2005.
The event will provide an opportunity for Caribbean tourism officials and industry insiders to interact with the New York market and to update nationals on the state of the regional industry. The audience is expected to include Caribbean nationals and friends of the region, as well as those interested in visiting the region best known for its vacation hot spots.
Caribbean Tourism Week 2005 is a week-long series of meetings attended by all categories of CTO membership including ministers and directors of tourism, chapter presidents and allied members representing airlines, hotels, tour wholesalers and travel agents, who discuss ways to increase and sustain tourism within the region.
Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) Chairman Dennis Morrison; Director General in the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, Carole Guntley-Brady; JTB Director Paul Pennycook and Deputy Director, David Shields, will accompany the Minister.
