The Full Story

Thirty-two police officers attached to the St. Ann Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) have been awarded for their outstanding contribution to crime fighting efforts in the region.
At the awards function held on January 7 at the Runaway Bay HEART Hotel, Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the Area 2 Division, Gilbert Kameka, said that the St. Ann police have been doing a tremendous job in helping to maintain law and order in the society.
“Through the great efforts of the police and effective policing, the parish of St. Ann was spared from an increase in the crime rate in the year 2004”, he stated.
According to ACP Kameka, the statistics on crime for the various police divisions across Jamaica would prove Area two to be one of the safest divisions in the island.
He commended the officers for working hard to achieve positive outcomes in the parish and urged the awardees to continue their fight against crime to help build a better Jamaica.
