President of the St. Andrew Justices of the Peace Association (SAJP), Marigold Harding, has informed that the association will be relocating from its current temporary site at the Jamaica Mortgage Bank (JMB) in June.

Mrs. Harding told JIS News that their lease for office space with the JMB expires in June, and the association has found a site they are hoping to call their permanent home.

“We are still in the process of negotiation. The new location is very central, very accessible, with good parking,” she noted.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Harding said that more than 100 new Justices of the Peace (JPs) were commissioned in 2018 for the parish of St Andrew.

Later this month, under Section 14 (a) of the Justice of the Peace Act, the St. Andrew Justices of the Peace Association will elect a new Board to serve until January 2021. The current Board’s tenure comes to an end on January 26, 2019, at the time of the SAJP’s annual general meeting.
