Thank you, Madam Speaker
As a serving Member of Parliament since 2007, I am privileged to be standing here today to inform this Honourable House of the accomplishments of my Ministry for the period 2022 to 2023, and the outlook for the Financial Year 2023 to 2024.
I thank God, for his continued strength and guidance, and for enabling me to update our blessed nation on the strides we continue to make in science,
energy, and technology.
The unconditional love and support of my dear wife, Ann-Marie, my children, relatives and friends is never too much – indeed, they are a large part of why I am here today. I make special mention of my highly capable and dedicated colleagues of the Cabinet, and, in particular, our modern leader, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, for his foresight, wisdom, and empathetic leadership.
To the people of my beloved constituency of West Portland, I say thank you. Thank you for entrusting me to represent you these past thirteen (13) years and I look forward to doing so for many more to come. I wish God’s richest blessings on my constituents, the neighbouring constituents of East Portland with whom I have more than a passing acquaintance, and the people of Jamaica, at-large.
