Taking a break from Cabinet meeting a short while ago, Prime Minister Bruce Golding advised that he will be making a broadcast to the nation tonight at 8:00 pm.
His address to the nation will be aired on all major radio and television stations at 8:00 pm and comes ahead of the start of the 2009/2010 budget debate which will be officially opened tomorrow by Finance Minister, Audley Shaw.
Cabinet meeting was rescheduled for this morning instead of the usual Monday morning session as a result of the two day working visit by Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Prime Minister Harper left the island yesterday afternoon.
The Budget debate will last until May 6 with Prime Minister Bruce Golding making his presentation to the House of Representatives on Tuesday, May 5.
