It’s World Blood Donor Day, a time to celebrate voluntary, unpaid blood donors who dedicate themselves to saving lives through their life giving donations, and to promote awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products. JIS Radio spoke with Assistant Blood Donor Organizer, at the Jamaica National Transfusion Service, Keishawna Pinnock who gave a breakdown of the Blood donation process.
