Established in London, England, in 1865 by Methodist minister William Booth, The Salvation Army has been changing lives all over the world since then. They have however been in the Caribbean since 1881, as part of their mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and provide for everyone’s needs in his name. Regionally, the army has remained present in 16 Caribbean islands over the years, providing a range of humanitarian services to the less fortunate, disenfranchised, and victims of adversity.
