As of Friday, March 13, schools will be officially closed for a period of 14 consecutive days as part of measures, to prevent the community spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. The closure notice applies to Early Childhood institutions, Primary and Secondary schools, Community and Teacher's Colleges. Prime Minister, Andrew Holness says the HEART Trust National Training and Service Agency’s community based and training programmes will also be suspended for 14 days.
