The 8th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference is set for June 16 to 20 under the theme: “Jamaica and the Diaspora: Building Pathways for Sustainable Development”. The conference, being convened by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, will connect Jamaicans from all over the world, for dialogue and development of concrete actions in areas of national importance.

Period poverty refers to the issue of women and girls not having adequate access to menstrual hygiene items and information, and believe it or not this is a growing concern in Jamaica. To tackle the issue the Her Flow organization in partnership with Always Sanitary napkins is providing girls with feminine hygiene products and information on the menstrual cycle.
