Foster Care is the legal process that grants individuals temporary custody of a child or children who have been separated from their parents or family due to circumstances beyond their control. In Jamaica the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) is mandated to safeguard the best interest of the nation’s children especially those who have been placed in state care.
