The Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) recently announced the award of scholarships totaling US$80,000 / J$12 million to 11 students pursuing postgraduate and undergraduate studies at The University of the West Indies (UWI) and other tertiary institutions. The Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility, CCRIF, is the world’s first multi-country, multi-peril risk pool providing parametric insurance and other products to 19 Caribbean governments, 4 Central American governments and 3 Caribbean electric utilities.
