Many Jamaicans desire to own a home. It’s part of the Jamaican dream to have a little piece of the rock to call your own. For most persons the primary obstacle to home ownership is the cost. The National Housing Trust (NHT) and the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) are now working together to use bamboo as a means of building affordable houses for Jamaicans.
