The police are investigating the disappearance of the body of a newborn baby – one of a set of twin – from the Mandeville Regional Hospital in Manchester. The baby’s body was discovered missing from the facility’s morgue by hospital administrators when the parents turned up to collect the baby’s body, after being asked to do so by hospital officials.
The parents of the baby have been notified about the police investigation and have been assured that when the police report into the matter is received, they will also be updated.
The hospital has been requested to conduct an investigation into the matter by the Minister of Health Hon. Rudyard Spencer and to submit a report by next week.
