During a courtesy visit at Jamaica House on Thursday, August 20, Prime Minister Simpson Miller lauded the Foundation for its outreach activities in Jamaica which has impacted many persons. Each August members of the Foundation, which is based in New York, visit the island to host back-to-school treats and health fairs benefitting approximately 3,000 children. In 2012, the Harris Family Vision Foundation donated a clinic to residents in Madras, St. Ann.
