A new petrol line, ‘Ultra Tec’, geared at reducing exhaust emission and providing the motoring public with an enhanced driving experience, was launched on Thursday, June 26, by RUBiS Energy Jamaica Limited.

Ultra Tec is specifically formulated to improve fuel economy, reduce vehicle exhaust emission, and maintain the condition of engines.

State Minister in the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining, Hon. Julian Robinson, who spoke at the launch, at the Terra Nova Hotel, noted that the new product is consistent with the Government’s goals of cutting back on the consumption of oil, and reducing harmful emissions.

“I want to congratulate RUBiS for its investment in the Jamaican economy. The investment here represents the single largest investment within the Caribbean region and is an important source of Foreign Direct Investment in the economy and also an important source of jobs,” Mr. Robinson said.

The State Minister noted that Ultra Tec provides an opportunity for drivers to have an alternative to economize and to reduce emission into the environment.

“I would like to commend RUBiS for this launch and to pledge, on behalf of the Government, our full support to all the endeavours you have undertaken as a company and to let you know that we stand fully behind you in this particular initiative,” Mr. Robinson said.

For his part, Managing Director at RUBiS Energy Jamaica Limited, Alain Cureau, said that Ultra Tec’s fuel formulation uses a new generation of high performance boosters designed to clean the engine’s valves and combustion by removing deposits and reduce exhaust emissions.

“This leads to optimum engine performance, superior fuel economy, and savings for RUBiS customers, making Ultra Tec the ultimate in fuel economy and performance,” Mr. Cureau said.

He informed that Ultra Tec will be available across all fuel types – Ultra Tec Premium Unleaded 90 Gasoline, Ultra Tec Unleaded 87 Gasoline, Ultra Tec Diesel and Ultra Tec USLD (Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel).

“RUBiS Ultra Tec will deliver the ultimate in fuel economy and performance, providing motorists with the best choice of gasoline and diesel fuels available in Jamaica today. The introduction of Ultra Tec to Jamaica represents an exciting development for the dynamic energy sector, and we at RUBiS are certainly proud to be a part of this transformation,” the General Manager said.
