Ministry of Education Mourns Death of Students Killed in Accident at School

The Minister of Education, Hon. Andrew Holness, and the staff of the Ministry of Education are in mourning following the death of three students and the injury of several others as a result of a motor vehicle crash in Manchester this morning April 7, 2011.

The Ministry expresses condolences to the families of those who died, their schools and communities.

A critical response team from the Guidance and Counselling Unit of the Ministry has been mobilised to offer counselling to students and staff of the schools whose students were involved in or saw the accident.

The Ministry of Education stands ready to help the families of those who died or were injured in the mishap.
