Labour Day Continues, Some Activities Postponed

Kingston, May 24, 2010 – Labour Day 2010 activities are proceeding across the country.
More than 600 projects were registered nationwide and much of the work has begun.
However projects in Kingston and St Andrew have been affected. Some Kingston and St Andrew projects have been postponed or cancelled, while others are proceeding where it is safe to do so.
The project for national attention in Kingston and St Andrew – the children’s playfield in Rae Town – has been postponed. So too have the projects at Kintyre and McIntyre Land which were being led by the KSAC
The Labour Day Concert which was scheduled to take place at Emancipation Park this evening has also been postponed.
In other parishes, activities are proceeding.
