The Full Story
Come Tuesday, August 27, the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) will officially launch its interactive mobile technology application- ‘LoveCleanKSA’ – in Half-Way Tree square.
The application allows for real time reporting on issues, such as illegal buildings, uncollected garbage, street light malfunction, illegal signs and billboards and other related issues.
This was disclosed by Mayor of Kingston, Senator Councillor Angela Brown Burke, at the KSAC Council meeting, held at its Church Street offices, in downtown Kingston, on August 13.
Highlighting the significance of the application, the Mayor said it will allow the Corporation to respond to reports in a timely manner, and pointed out that where the matter reported falls outside the remit of the KSAC, the Corporation will forward the information to the relevant agencies.
“Our aim is to improve efficiency and effectiveness by integrating technology with our operations and by ensuring that we have the broadest partnership with our other stakeholders,” she added.
Persons wishing to download the application can visit: www.lovecleanksa.org or www.ksac.gov.jm.
Meanwhile, the Mayor noted that under a partnership agreement with the London Borough of Lewisham, the Corporation has been given a state-of-the-art garbage truck, which will be displayed at the launch.
