JPSCo Donates Computers to St. Mary School

The information technology programme at the Labyrinth All-age School in St. Mary has received a boost, with the donation of three computers by the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPSCo.)
The presentation, which was made on Tuesday (May 29), brings to six, the number of computers at the school.In making the presentation, Daffodil Bruce-Miller, Community Relations Officer for the JPSCo, said that her organization was happy to donate the computers to the school.
She noted that the provision of the equipment will go a far way in preparing the students to meet the demands of a technological world.
Principal Etta Mullings, who received the gift on behalf of the school, thanked the utility company for the kind gesture.
She said that the additional computers will allow the school to include more students in its information technology programme, and widen its community training initiative, where residents are provided with the opportunity to become computer literate at specially organized evening and weekend classes.
