The Board and Staff of JAMPRO join a grateful and proud nation in thanking God for the talent and victory of Tessanne Chin.

Tessanne Chin’s triumph in being selected as “The Voice” for 2013 is an exceptional international achievement that throws into extremely sharp focus the almost limitless dividends that investing in the Creative Industries can pay in the national effort to create wealth.

Once again, amidst the considerable challenges that beset us, a gifted artiste has given us renewed hope that as a nation, we can overcome those challenges; renewed faith that as a people, we can beat the odds; and renewed conviction that our combined talent can earn for us robust economic growth. As ‘brawta’, Tessanne has also given us a unifying joy as together as one people at home and abroad, we celebrate the spectacular emergence of yet another world beating performer from the small but prolific talent pool which is Jamaica.

Yet, it is not only the victory but also the manner in which it was achieved which I regard as exemplary especially for our youth. Tessanne’s victory was achieved with ambassadorial poise and urbanity.

What a Christmas gift from a wonderfully talented daughter!
