The Full Story

The theme for World Meteorological Day 2017, to be commemorated on March 23, is Understanding Clouds. The observance this year, will mark the launch of a new edition of the International Cloud Atlas which will include newly classified cloud types and other meteorological phenomena.

The observance:

  • The Weather Branch
    • Two sections of the Weather Branch operate at the Sangster International and Norman Manley International Airports providing meteorological reports and weather forecasting for international air navigation and general dissemination, respectively.
