Governor-General Donates Books to Rusea’s

Governor-General, His Excellency the Most Honourable Professor Kenneth Hall, will make a donation of books from his personal collection to Rusea’s High School, his alma mater, on Friday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the institution in Lucea, Hanover.
He will also present the words and score sheet for the school song to the principal, June Thompson. A past student, Beryl Donaldson, wrote the words and music of the school song in honour of Professor Hall on his appointment as Governor-General in February of this year.
The collection of over 750 books, journals and magazines, cover several areas, including CARICOM, globalization, development, education, regional integration, management, culture, as well as West Indian and world history.
The Governor-General will include in this package, copies of his more recent publications. These include: ‘Integration: CARICOM’s Key to Prosperity’; ‘Production Integration in CARICOM: From Theory to Action’; ‘Rex N: Rex Nettleford Selected Speeches’; ‘Caribbean Imperatives: Regional Governance and Integrated Development’; ‘Governance in the Age of Globalisation’; and ‘The Caribbean Community: Beyond Survival’.
Some of the authors in the collection include Rex Nettleford, Edward Long, Professor Verene Shepherd, Rupert Lewis, Richard Hart and Edward Baugh.
