Exim Bank to host interactive workshop on Nov. 23

Existing and potential exporters and linkage companies to the export sector are invited to an interactive workshop to be hosted by the EXIM Bank on November 23, at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel, in New Kingston.
Dubbed, ‘Tackling Business Problems Finding Solutions’, the workshop will facilitate discussions on meeting new standards for the international marketplace; simplifying the process of getting goods from the local factory to the foreign buyer; competitiveness and finding new markets; freeing up cash flow for growth and maximising brand to grow sales.
Chief Officer, Marketing at the EXIM Bank, Ann Marie Walter-Allen told JIS News that the workshop will provide the opportunity for “anyone who is already actively exporting, thinking of getting into export and even those linkage companies that support the export sector” to become familiar and aware of new trends, best practices and systems involved in the business of exporting.
She said the panel will include key experts in the various areas involved in the export process, such as Managing Director of the EXIM Bank, Lisa Bell; Global Brand Manager, GraceKennedy Limited, Anthony Lawrence; Executive Director at Bureau of Standards Jamaica, Noel Osbourne; Director of Internal Review, Jamaica Customs, Flo Howe; Marketing Expert, Grace Silvera and Manager, Trade Financing at EXIM Bank, Valerie Crawford.
Mrs. Walter-Allen added that EXIM Bank’s credit analysts will also be at the workshop to discuss projects and loan options available to existing and potential clients.
