Expansion and upgrading works will continue at Mount St. Joseph Catholic High School in Manchester during the upcoming fiscal year.

These include the construction of third and fourth form blocks, an administrative block, an auditorium, and a canteen.

The project is being facilitated through a $210 million allocation, under the Education Transformation Programme, which has the objective of providing additional classrooms to alleviate the shift system and overcrowding in secondary schools.

Details are contained in the 2021/22 Estimates of Expenditure, which was tabled by the Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr. the Hon. Nigel Clarke, in the House of Representatives on February 18.

So far, fifth and sixth form blocks have been built at Mount St. Joseph and architectural designs for the buildout of third and fourth forms, the administrative block and auditorium, have been completed.

The National Education Trust Limited (NET) is the implementing agency for the Education Transformation Programme.
