Chief Justice Released From Hospital

Chief Justice Zaila McCalla was released from the Tony Thwaites Wing of the University Hospital of the West Indies, yesterday, after completing a series of tests.
Minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports(MICYS), the Hon. Olivia Grange, confirmed last night that the Chief Justice had completed the tests and was discharged from the hospital.
The Minister had reported Wednesday that Mrs.McCalla was back to normal and was conversing well, but would remain in the hospital another day for additional tests.
The Chief Justice was admitted to the Tony Thwaites Wing of the University Hospital of the West Indies on Tuesday night, after collapsing at a state function at Kings House in honour of the visiting King and Queen of Spain.
Mrs. McCalla was appointed Jamaica’s Chief Justice in 2007.
