Charles to Address LAC Meeting on Wednesday

Minister of Labour and Social Security, Hon. Pearnel Charles, will address a meeting of the tripartite Labour Advisory Committee (LAC) on a number of issues at his Ministry on Wednesday (July 15).
Mr. Charles will address issues such as strengthening the industrial relations process and recent legislative reforms. He will also report on his recent visit to the 98th session of the International Labour Organisation(ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
The LAC, which is chaired by the Minister, is comprised of representatives of the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU), The Jamaica Employers Federation (JEF) and the Ministry. It meets regularly to discuss pressing industrial relations issues.
