Fun Day and Concert with World Championship Athletes at Trelawny Stadium

The chance to meet Jamaica’s outstanding World Championship athletes in person and be entertained by top artistes such as Elephant Man, Tarrus Riley, Konshens, and Etana, are some of the treats that patrons will enjoy at this Sunday’s (Oct. 4) Family Fun Day and Concert at the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium.
Other acts confirmed to perform include Laden, Chino, I-Octane, G-Whizz, Alberosie, Romaine Virgo, Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, Khago, newly crowned Digicel Rising Star, Brown Sugar, and runner-up Princess Tia.
In addition to the performances there will be rides, domino, dance and song competitions and other activities.
Members of the public, who wish to attend the Family Fun Day and Concert, must have tickets. They are free of cost and can be collected at the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) head office in Kingston and parish offices in Falmouth, Trelawny, Savanna-La-Mar, Westmoreland, Montego Bay, St. James, Lucea, Hanover, Port Maria, St. Mary; and at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston.
Tickets are also available at the Trelawny Parish Council Office, Inland Revenue Office in Falmouth, Jamaica Information Service (JIS) Montego Bay office, and the Sports Development Foundation in Kingston.
For those who might not be able to attend, the concert will be streamed live on the Internet by the Jamaica Information Service at www.jis.gov.jm.
The Family Fun Day and Concert will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with gates opening at 12 o’clock.
It will provide an excellent opportunity for the Jamaican people to express their gratitude to the athletes for the unbridled joy that their performances provided, while allowing the athletes to interact with their fans.
