The Full Story

Donations of medical supplies, stand-by generators, non-perishable food items, clothing, money and building supplies were among the relief supplies donated last weekend by the Jamaican community in Atlanta and friends of Jamaica.
The items were donated during the three-day drive organized by Union of Jamaica Organization in Atlanta, at the Hillside Presbyterian Church.Radio stations, such as WRFG 89.3 FM, WCLK 91.9 FM and 1010 AM did broadcasts from the collection site for over 10 hours in support of the effort.

He said that a trailer, which was parked at the site, would be packed and shipped to Jamaica with all items to assist the victims of Hurricane Ivan. Mr. Martin added that close to US$10,000 had been contributed to the relief drive.
On Sunday (September 26), three churches in metro Atlanta, Glorious Tabernacle International, Revival Time Church of God and Providence Baptist Church, collected a special offering, which will be donated to the Hurricane Ivan Relief Drive.
