Cabinet has not yet signed off on the appointment of persons who will Chair the Boards of State agencies.
Addressing yesterday’s (March 22) post-Cabinet press briefing at the Office of the Prime Minister, in Kingston, Education, Youth and Information Minister, Senator the Hon. Ruel Reid, said while there have been discussions about possible selections for Boards, the Cabinet has not approved any, “based on the change of Government.”

“There are ongoing consultations, and we have to be looking for persons to fill those positions, but (we) are not in a position to make any formal announcement about Boards,” the Minister said.
