Tourism Entities to Showcase Products at Expo Jamaica

A number of tourism entities will be showcasing their products and services at ‘Expo Jamaica’ 2016, slated for April 14 to 17 at the National Arena and National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston.

These include hotels, attractions, restaurants, and ground transportation and shopping providers.

These entities are participating in the ‘Experience Jamaica’ initiative, which is geared at encouraging persons living and working in Jamaica to enjoy more of the country’s tourism product at special rates.

They are offering special discounts of between 10 to 50 percent from April to November 2016.

Speaking with JIS News, Executive Director of the Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association (JMA), Imega Breese McNab, noted that the various entities will be mounting exhibits, providing information, special discounts, and giveaways to persons attending the Expo.

She said the objective is to heighten awareness about brand Jamaica and product offerings in the tourism sector.

The tourism stakeholders are among the 350 exhibitors and over 470 buyers expected to participate at this year’s Expo.

The event is the largest biennial trade show of the Caribbean hosted by the JMA, and the Jamaica Exporters’ Association (JEA) in partnership with JAMPRO.

It will showcase all things Jamaican in manufacturing, agriculture, tourism and services.
