The Passport, Immigration & Citizenship Agency (PICA), Is Now Social`izing’

The Passport, Immigration & Citizenship Agency (PICA), in accordance with its commitment to transparency, accountability and responsiveness as well as a desire to enhance its e-diplomatic efforts has launched a Facebook page.

The Page, which goes live to the public on Monday, January 11, 2016, is intended to boost the Agency’s ability to serve the Jamaican people, its stakeholders and the international community. It is anticipated that through the use of social media, PICA will be able to create a greater awareness of its services, programmes, activities, career opportunities and publications. The platform will also enhance PICA’s ability to address customer service queries promptly and improve information sharing and relationship building with those it serves. The Agency will also use the platform to make public advisories in tandem with normative media channels and its website.

PICA looks forward to interacting with fans and followers and to use this medium to convey the human side of the organization in keeping with its values of Professionalism, Integrity, Customer service and Accountability.

PICA is an Executive Agency of the Ministry of National Security. The Agency accepts and processes passport applications, manages the island’s immigration processes and processes applications for and renunciation of Jamaican citizenship.
