Chairman of the newly established committee to address electricity theft, the Honourable Julian Robinson has invited members of the public to submit recommendations and offer solutions to the problem of electricity theft.
“We recognise that there are good ideas out there and we want to be inclusive in our approach to tackling a problem that affects all of us. Based on the submissions, we will consider hosting a public consultation where persons can make recommendations in person.” Minister Robinson said.
To this end, submissions can be made electronically to solvetheft@mstem.gov.jm.

Minister Robinson, who is State Minister of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining was appointed on May 14 by Prime Minister, the Honourable Portia Simpson-Miller to head the committee comprising other Government officials and the JPS to explore possible measures for reducing electricity theft across the island.
