President of the Dominican Republic, His Excellency Danilo Medina Sánchez, visited National Heroes Park today (November 27), where he laid flowers at the Cenotaph in honour of soldiers who died in World Wars I and II.
The ceremony forms part of the agenda for the President’s one-day State Visit to Jamaica.
President Medina and members of his delegation were greeted by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith and other officials.
Following this event, President Medina called on the Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), where the leaders had discussions on a range of bilateral, regional and multilateral issues.
