“I am proud to represent the EU in Jamaica and also of the partnership we have enjoyed over the last 43 years,” Head of Delegation, European Union Malgorzata Wasilewska said.

“I am looking forward to my first Europe Day celebrations here and also to strengthening the EU’s excellent relationship with the Government and people of Jamaica to tackle key global challenges, including climate and energy, health provision, food security and poverty reduction,” she added.

Representatives from the Jamaican government, diplomatic corps, business community, civil society, partners and project beneficiaries are expected to attend a reception and exhibition today (May 8) at UWI Mona Visitors’ Lodge, St Andrew.
