Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an assessment session on June 29 at the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) Incubator and Resource Centre on Marcus Garvey Drive, following which an evaluation and final selection will be conducted.
Selection will be made using the following criteria – design and aesthetics, engineering, pricing, marketing and business practice.
Project Manager of the Tourism Linkages Network, Carolyn McDonald-Riley, told JIS News that the assessment session will allow persons interested in participating in the trade show to get expert advice from corporate and industry players and potential buyers.
Key technocrats and presenters at the session will include representatives from Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO), JBDC, Bureau of Standards Jamaica and corporate Jamaica.
“There is a wealth of information to be obtained from the session… . Persons will be guided on packaging and enhancing their products, (and) how best to market their products and attract buyers,” Mrs McDonald-Riley highlighted.
