Traffic Changes for Lady B’s Funeral: (Matilda’s Corner, Old Hope Road , National Heroes Circle )

Starting at noon on Saturday August 8, motorists using the areas of Matilda’s Corner going south to the National Heroes Circle, are advised to expect temporary road closures and diversions as a result of the official funeral for Lady Bustamante.
This will affect motorists between Matilda’s Corner, Liguanea, Stanton Terrace, Herb McKenley Drive / Roosevelt Avenue , Arthur Wint Drive , Tom Redcam Drive , Caledonia Avenue , Marescaux Road and the National Heroes Circle.
Motorists using Liguanea on Saturday, August 8, should take note that in the vicinity of Matilda’s Corner, vehicular traffic will not be allowed on to Old Hope Road travelling towards Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
Motorists can access the shopping districts in Liguanea from Mona Road and roads leading off Barbican Road and Hope Road .
Residents of Beverley Hills , Munroe Road and Wellington Drive , can access their homes by using Old Hope Road and Mona Road.
Roads will be reopened once the funeral procession has passed. Road Closures – Noon – The Following road closures will be in effect to vehicular traffic starting at noon until the funeral procession for Lady Bustamante has passed:
. Matilda’s Corner at junction with Old Hope Road travelling from the direction of Barbican and Hope Roads; . Munroe road (in front of the Police Commissioner’s Headquarters and Liguanea (Total gas station). Old Hope Road at the junction with Retreat Avenue ;. Old Hope Road at the junction with Grovedale and Hopedale Avenues ( Beverley Hills entrances);. Old Hope Road at the junction with Mountain View Avenue ;. Old Hope Road at the junction with Seaview Avenue ;. Old Hope Road at the junction with Fairway Avenue ;. Latham Avenue at the junction with Roosevelt Avenue / Herb McKenley Blvd ;. Cunningham Avenue at the junction with Roosevelt Avenue / Herb McKenley Blvd ;. Arthur Wint Drive at the junction with Mountain View Avenue ;. Arthur Wint Drive at the junction with North Avenue ;. Arthur Wint Drive at the junction with Central Avenue ;. Marescaux Road at the junction with Connoley Avenue ;. Marescaux Road at the junction with North National Heroes Circle;. The entire length of Caledonia Crescent and Caledonia Avenue ;. The entire length of Arthur Wint Drive ;. All Roads leading from East National Heroes Circle.
No Parking will be allowed on the following roads during the period.
