THE REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE ACT – A PROCLAMATION BY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL

WHEREAS by Proclamation made on the 24th day of July, 2007, and published in the Gazette on the 24th day of July, 2007, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by subsection (1) of section 65 of the Constitution of Jamaica and subsection (1) of the section 19 of the Representation of the People Act, I appointed Monday the 27th day of August, 2007, as the day upon which the poll for a general election of members of the House of Representatives shall be held:
