The second annul career exposition of the St. Catherine 4-H Clubs, will be held tomorrow (Nov. 17), at the Rose Hall 4-H Training Centre in Linstead.
Parish Secretary for the St. Catherine 4-H Clubs, Halova Stubbs-Jones, told JIS News that the event would expose the youth and the public to training opportunities offered in various areas.
“It’s about targeting the youth, mothers and fathers about career choices and it promises to be the best,” she said, adding that members of community and police youth clubs from Kingston and St. Andrew, Portland and St. Thomas, have been invited to participate.
She informed that the expo would benefit persons, who are about to choose careers, change careers or advance in their jobs. “It’s all about the process of life long-learning,” she stated.
Exhibitors will include the University of Technology; University of the West Indies; College of Agriculture, Science and Education; Bank of Jamaica; Northern Caribbean University; Caribbean Maritime Institute (CMI); Jamaica Constabulary Force; Jamaica Defence Force; and the Jamaica Fire Service.
Opposition spokesman on Education and Youth, Andrew Holness will address the opening ceremony, which begins at 11:00 a.m.
