The Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO), established in 2008 has been executing the national anti-doping programme in accordance with the standards stipulated by the international governing body, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). In celebration of its 10th Anniversary on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 JADCO hosted a Decennial Gala at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in Kingston. In recognition of this milestone, the Commission hosted several commemorative activities throughout the year under the theme,“Keeping Sport Clean, Forging Better Partnerships.”
One of the most significant achievements in the fight against doping in sport to date has been the drafting, acceptance and implementation of the World Anti-Doping Code (Code), a harmonized set of anti-doping rules. In this edition of JADCO and we will highlight three of these International Standards, the Prohibited List, Testing and Investigations and Laboratories.
