Shaw to Address Jamaica/UK Investment Forum

Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Hon Audley Shaw, left Jamaica March 9 for London, where he will participate in the 2010 Jamaica-United Kingdom Investment Forum, March 10 to 12.
Mr. Shaw is one of the main presenters and will address the forum on Jamaica’s macroeconomic and investment climate. He is accompanied by Governor of the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ), Brian Wynter.
The annual investment forum brings together government officials, investors and other players in the financial services sector, to address matters pertinent to stakeholders in both countries. It is aimed at bringing into sharp focus, opportunities to invest in the Jamaican economy, as well as build awareness amongst investors and potential investors in the U.K.
While in the U.K., Mr. Shaw will meet with overseas investors, business leaders and senior representatives from the UK financial services sector. He will also attend the 2010 Outlook for the Future Symposium hosted by the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) in London, and address the Diaspora on the state of the Jamaican economy and the recent Jamaica Debt Exchange (JDX).
