Did you know that the first Festival Queen was crowned in 1975? Did you also know that before 2026, the last time Miss Portland won the national title was 27 years ago in 1999, when Gregor Fong captured the crown?
That’s right, the ascent of Miss Portland, Christina Williams, to the coveted Miss Jamaica Festival Queen title ended a nearly three-decade drought for the people of her parish.
And they are ecstatic! As they should be! The competition was particularly tough!
