The Prime Minister’s Medal of Appreciation was instituted as a Commemorative award to mark the 21st anniversary of Jamaica’s Independence. As we continue to mark Jamaica 55, nominations were opened in January to recognise citizens and companies that have helped to build their communities and the nation.
