Municipal Corporation Update

In keeping with the mandate to provide welfare services to the citizens of Jamaica, the Municipal Corporations in each parish have been finding creative ways of catering to the needy. In this vein the St. James Municipal Corporation recently recognized five students from the parish for excellence in academics and sports.

Infirmaries across the island are undergoing transformation. The facilities which serve the most vulnerable in the society, are receiving a much needed infrastructure upgrade, making them more comfortable for staff and residents. One key area, now being addressed, is the installation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) camera systems in infirmaries. This to improve monitoring of the facilities for the purposes of security and service quality control.
