Jamaica is a cultural melting pot. Today our music, fashion, dance and other expressions of art continue to make a huge impact across the globe.
Ask any non-national about Jamaica and they’ll most likely link the country to the music of Reggae Icon Bob Marley.
Many Jamaicans have benefited from participating in what’s known as the orange economy or creative industry but apart from knowing about the players and their work, can we really say how this sector has impacted our local economy?
Also, what is the value of that impact?
Well, the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) is trying to get those questions answered through its Creative industry survey.
