The National Works Agency says major works on the bridges constructed at the Three Miles Intersection in St. Andrew are complete. Paving work is now being carried out on a short section of the eastern end of the lanes leading to downtown Kingston.

The National Works Agency is reporting that the Hagley Park Road Improvement Project is approximately 85 per cent complete.

Energy Minister, Fayval Williams, says the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ), will remain open for business until its day-to-day functions are transferred to the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology.

The Senate has approved the Law Reform (Amendment of Penalties Act), which seeks to update low and outdated monetary fines for a range of offences.

The Jamaica Mortgage Bank has provided approximately 1.5 billion dollars to fund eight private housing developments in the Corporate Area.

Minister with responsibility for Water, Senator Pearnel Charles Jr., is encouraging citizens to exercise caution when purchasing water for domestic use, particularly from trucked sources. Citizens are encouraged to boil their water or add the appropriate amount of bleach where necessary.
